Vale Judo Club has two recent successes to celebrate - it now joined the prestigious group of judo club’s in the UK that have been awarded the Gold Club Mark Award and also completed installation of a second large matted sprung floor.

Both of these achievements were made possible thanks to a £10,000 grant made available by Sport England. In order to celebrate this event, Loretta Cusack (World and European Champion), has kindly agreed to open the club’s extended dojo and present the award on Saturday 26th May 2012 - Loretta will also be holding a Question & Answer session over lunch. Loretta will be joined by Joyce Heron (World & European Medallist) and Yoko Tanabe (Olympic Medallist, World Medallist) to run a series of coaching sessions – including a Women & Girls training session. All judo players training at a club located in the East Midlands and holding a current judo licence (BJA, BJC, AJA) are welcome to attend (Cost: £3 per judoka that are not members of Vale JC).

The schedule for the day is as follows:
- 9:30am Registration Opens
- 10:00am - 11:00am Girls & Boys aged under 10
- 11:00 - 12:00pm Boys aged 10-14
- 12:00pm - 1:00pm Boys (aged 15+) & Senior Men
- 1:00pm - 2:00pm Lunch plus Loretta's Q&A Session
- 2:00pm - 4:00pm Girls (aged 11+) & Senior Women
